Upgrading Registered Versions
-----------------------------
This is a free upgrade for all previously registered SPEED READ users.
To upgrade simply copy the contents of the distribution archive into
your SPEED directory. Please note the warnings below.
* WARNINGS *
------------
- SPEED READ will import all QWK packets found in the download directory
for a specific BBS when run and delete all but the last packet upon
successful completion. If you desire to save old QWK packets you should
back them up prior to running SPEED.
- To accommodate new features and enhancements, this version of SPEED READ
slightly modifies the message base structure. As such, earlier versions
of SPEED will not be able to read message bases processed with the
current version. As always you should back up your message bases and
SPEED program before updating to the current version.
- This version of SPEED READ uses time-based registration incentives. The
starting date for the incentives is the first time *any version* of SPEED
READ was installed. To reinstall this version over a previously
unregistered shareware version, you should delete all remnants (files,
data, directories, etc.) of the earlier version.
